Sam is a botanist who revels in learning, writing, and teaching about fascinating plants and fungi, so it's no surprise that her food writing tends to revolve around plants.
While not a vegetarian, she loves dishes where fruits and vegetables take centre stage. Being a lactose-intolerant ice cream enthusiast, she's always on the look-out for alternatives like vegan ice cream floats featuring house-made root beer flavoured with real sassafras.
